Serenade by Carly Simon Review

Welcome
to the Moonlight Serenade by Carly Simon Review page:
Wow! What a gorgous,
rich alto voice! I was blown away by the perfection of this laid-back jazz. I
didn't grow up with Carly Simon (a bit before my time) and have just 'discovered'
her. I love the latino jazz music; especially Brazilian. Boy, can Carly hold her
own with any great Brazilian singer of that genre. My husband and I love to dance,
especially ball room, but don't get to go out much. I had this CD playing when
he came home from work. He didn't say a word. He grabbed me and danced for a good
10 minutes - that laid-back, comfortable dancing that sits 'in the beat'. Not
a word spoken - just the magic of good music and dance. It was great. This is
one of the nicest albums I've purchased in a long time. So easy on the ears. Anyone
who loves a solid jazz tempo with rich vocals will love this one! Please DON'T
compare Ms. Simon's voice with Rod Stewart. He may have also made an album with
this type of music recently, but that's where the similarity ends. Rod Stewart's
voice is shot and tends to get off key. Ms. Carly's voice is incredibly rich and
falls into each note with perfect tone! If sweet butter were music, this is what
it would sound like.
