Welcome
to the Contour Design iSee-mini Case for iPod Mini Review page:
I bought
one of these cases for my first generation iPod Mini, and then it would not come
off. I tried everything but it was totally stuck. I took it to several local computer
technicians and they were also unable to remove it. I thought about just breaking
it off, but I did not want to damage the iPod's finish.
After several
phone calls and emails with the company (Contour Design), I mailed the iPod and
case to them so they could remove it. They discovered that my iPod was slightly
larger than Apple's specifications, which is why it didn't work in the case, so
it was not Contour Design's fault at all.
I was very impressed with the
way that Contour Designs handled this unusual problem. I never had to wait to
be connected, I always spoke with the same person, and he worked with me to solve
the problem, instead of trying to pawn it off on someone else. If he had not offered
me the option of letting them remove the case, I would have literally been stuck
with the case and been unable to remove it from my iPod. Their customer service
was exactly what a company ought to provide, but so often does not happen. In
fact, they went beyond what they were technically obligated to do, and in doing
so, they showed their commitment to customer satisfaction.
As it turned
out, I had decided to return my first iPod because the new one with longer battery
life came out right after I bought my first one. This made it necessary for me
to get the case off the first one and to have it done quickly so I could return
it within the 30 day refund period. Contour Design had the case off and returned
the iPod (and a new case) using overnight express.
My new iSee case works
perfectly with my new iPod and I am a very satisfied customer of Contour Design.
