Canon PowerShot A510 3.2MP Digital Camera with 4x Optical Zoom
This camera
is my 3rd Canon digicam. My first Canon digicam was Canon a60 which was great
but it was a bit too bulky for me. I bought this camera as a alternative option
next to my canon a400 and I'm definitely satisfied.
I have used the camera
in full optical-digital zoom, to capture high speed aircraft passes at airshows
and the pics come out clear! Put it into continuous shot mode, hold down the shutter
button to capture action frame by frame, works great, speed is fast. The Fuji
did not do that well too. Batteries hold up great if you use hydrides!!! I get
over 200 pics easily between charges (if you are not a LCD 'on time' nut). Even
if you use the LCD a lot they still hold up well compaired to any other digital
cam I used. On top of that it only uses 2 batteries at a time. Buy the typical
4 'AA' NiMh's and you have a spare pair to carry with you. Finally I have a digital
camera that I really like to use, it's pocket sized small, takes better pics then
anything Iused in the past (even a 5.2megpix!) and it does not break the bank.
Only 2 complaints would be while in the live video capture mode you can not adjust
zoom while shooting. You must adjust the zoom amount before you begin shooting.
Also it seems you can not use this camera as a webcam.
