Welcome
to the Altec Lansing inMotion iM3 Portable Audio System for iPod Review page:
This
puppy also works great with 40GB IPod too as we found out recently on an evening
of Frank Caliendo impressions and jokes. The ultra compact remote is way cool,
almost futuristic-James Bondish in sleek design. Plug your Ipod in on the desk
and you almost expect a hologram to appear and start speaking to you. Seriously
though this is one little impressive unit. This is a nice accessory for the IPod
that looks good and sounds pretty decent, not great mind you. For the less discerning
listener this is a perfect system for being on the go. In some ways the fact that
the sound won't blast the doors of a room is a blessing. I bought this for one
of my sons and he likes it to take into every room to play outloud . When he goes
to visit grandma he takes his little system. He loves to take it to the bathroom
for showering and I don't have to tell him to turn it down! The latest version
(im3)does have DC so that takes care of the battery complaint. However rechargeable
batteries do the trick for places without DC. The carrying case is very cool,
a sleek little lightweight case that will protect the surface with velcro closures
. It is only slightly padded(wouldn't want to bulk it up!) so care should be given
while your Ipod is stowed away or traveling. Total size is about 10''x 6" which
is amazing since it is super thin as well. I would recommend this little package
for a cool little addition to your IPod to take your tunes on the road. Besides
it looks so darn cool on a desk when you dock your IPod and let your music library
play on shuffle.
