How
refreshing to open a book and hear an author give an honest and accurate assessment
about the state of our society today and not be afraid to point the finger at
some of the individuals who are contributing to the problem. Yes, there are many
liberals listed on Mr. Goldberg's list of "100 People" and yes, there are times
when he goes over the top but this book is not simply one pitting liberals against
conservatives.
Most of the issues Mr. Goldberg addresses here are ones
that should be of great concern to any and all Americans, regardless of political
affiliation. However, the fact cannot be ignored that many of the problems facing
our nation today have been brought on by the culture of the elite, or to put it
very simply, those Americans who somehow feel they know what is best for everyone
and who would dismiss those who disagree with them as ignorant fools. And many
of these individuals hold powerful and influential positions in our nation's court
systems, our schools and our entertainment and news industries.
In this
book Mr. Goldberg discusses such topics as corporate fraud, America bashers, people
he refers to as "racial enforcers," rap music, Hollywood blowhards, our lawsuit
culture, and one that is of particular concern to me, the ever growing problem
of liberal educators who promote their agendas to susceptible high school and
college students. Mr. Goldberg then goes on to list the 100 individuals starting
at #100 and working his way down to #1, providing a brief explanation about just
who these individuals are and why they made the list. Many of them will be names
you will not recognize but there are a few, like Michael Moore and Michael Jackson,
who don't even require an explanation.
This is a timely and very informative
read; blissfully devoid of political correctness, straightforward and brutally
honest. Highly, highly recommended!!
